Need to also count those who had COVID & recovered & look worldwide....

I'm not sure why herd immunity has become only a fully vaccination calculation. Many people in the US had COVID and have recovered. Those numbers should be counted as well as those who have been vaccinated.

And, I know I'm a broken record, but with COVID being a global pandemic and the vast majority of countries no where near the percentage of vaccinated as the US, COVID is going to be stick around. And, as it sticks around more mutations are going to follow. The US can reach herd immunity, but as soon as a mutation makes the current vaccines ineffective, the whole process will start again.

Prime example is what happened at Seychelles this week. Some have dubbed them the most vaccinated nation in the world, yet they had a COVID spike and have locked down once again with 33% of their cases being breakthrough cases with those who were fully vaccinated. Now, they don't have access to the MRNA vaccines and have used 59% Sinopharm (Chinese made) and 41% AstraZeneca (UK created, made in India). Unfortunately they haven't released numbers (at least not that I've seen) as to what percentage of breakthrough cases each vaccine was responsible for nor the ages of the individuals, but this is somewhat alarming and I hope the WHO is investigating to see what's going on and if there is a new variant.

If we're serious about ending COVID, vaccines need to be shipped far and wide across the world especially to the most vulnerable. But, it's such a huge undertaking that has to be done in a timely manner that I'm not even sure it's feasible and that's if you can get all countries on board which hasn't happened to this point.
